Reading, England. This is were I will be staying for the next year going to school at the University of Reading for a study abroad program. I will also be taking courses at the college and celebrating my 21st birthday overseas! This blog is for my friends and family, documenting my time in England.

Here is the layout for the house that I am staying in. It's house 153 and Jill, my roommate, and I will be living in bedroom one on the first floor. I like the fact that it's only Jill and I on the ground floor.
With two days left, I am getting really nervous. Many mixed feelings keep on popping in and out too. I am excited to go on this experience but scared because I am starting something independently in another country. I just can't go home.
My dad and I got travelers checks today (most confusing things ever) and I got a credit card.
I still haven't packed yet. Right now, it is 70 degrees in England. That is the high, at least. Looks like there is no need for shorts! I am still trying to deal with the fact that I need to pack a whole years worth of clothes in one 50-lb suitcase, one 25-lb carry-on and my purse. I have decided to bring another suitcase. All of my shoes are coming with me whether I have to pay for another suitcase or not. I love them too much.
Hurricane Earl should make this trip interesting. Right now it is a category 4 and should reach the coast of MD by 2 pm on Friday. Here is to it dying before it reaches here so my flight isn't delayed.
